I have a Toshiba Satellite with a broken volume control wheel on the front of the laptop?
I have a Toshiba Satellite with a broken volume control wheel on the front of the laptop. The wheel seams to have come off its hinge. The problem being that when it came off, the volume setting was set to off, so I have no volume on my laptop anymore.
Originally a vista, but changed it to win XP,
Any way, I have tried master volume, plugging in stereos, head phones, and no luck.
What else is there to do? OR How do I fix it?
The only real way is to disassemble the chasis and try replacing the wheel but I don't know how comfortable you feel about doing that.
