Question for Fender Telecaster experts!?

I'm about to spend around 500 bucks or so on a guitar and have decided on a Telecaster -- but which one?

I play rhythm guitar in a group that plays a little bit of everything - classic rock, alternative, even a little country.

I have a shot at getting an '06 MIK Lite Ash with the following description: Has all new vintage American Parts and Electronics with exception of bridge plate/saddles. 250K CTS pots and 4-Way Fender switching, (Bridge, Neck/Bridge series, Neck, Neck/Bridge Parallel). Custom Made Translucent Pearl Pickguard by Pickguardian. Nek Pup is Rickenbacker style Filertron, bridge is 60's Alnico Hot 9.4K Repro. Killer Sound. Has Fender Vintage Tuners and Round vintage Trees. Comes with kit bag.

Or ... I could go for a new Nashville Tele ... because I like all the tone possibilities that open up with that extra pickup. I've read that if you have to go up on stage with only one guitar, this is the one.

Thoughts? Which way would you go?

From these 2 choices. I would take an '06 MIK Lite Ash. Ash telecaster gives a very good twang sound. ( this is what guitar players expect from the tele )

But I nver played the nashvilled. So I could not comment, but if you needed the nashville because you just need one guitar on stage. I would recommend not !

I would suggest you to buy guitar from its caractoristic not all in one guitar. ( if you still wanted one guitar on stage. I would recommend Line 6 Variax ) I myself always have 3-4 guitars for 10 songs show.

This is my guitars from last night show.
1. Fender Telecaster customshop FLATHEAD - Drop D tunning
2. Fender Telecaster RI52 - Normal tunning for doing Maroon 5's songs.
3. Ibanez JEM7VSBL - Eb tuniing for doing 80's metal
4. Ibanez JEM77SK Standard tunning for 80's metal also.

One guitar is not enough for the show. :-)

There are similarities between Redmond O'Hanlon's magnificent Into The Heart of Borneo and No Mercy. He's off on another jungle trek, this time seeking ...
