What Guitar Nut is Better to Use- Bone or Tusq?

For my Chinese copy of a Les Paul guitar, I would like to replace the cheap plastic nut that came with it.

Which is the better nut to have installed- bone or tusq? What are the pluses and minuses for each one?

I will disagree on GuitarPicker. No offense buddy. TUSQ is by far the best nut to use and I will explain.

TUSQ gives better tone performance, richer tone and much more sustain. Ivory and bone are inconsistent and have hard and soft spots which hamper consistent transfer of vibrations to the guitar top. Another important factor is that it increases a guitar's harmonic sustain.

Most companies...., Taylor, Larrivee, Gibson Acoustic Guitars, Tacoma Guitars, Ovation, Rick Turner, Garrison Guitars, Breedlove, Manuel Rodriguez, Rainsong, Carvin, Landola and many, many more have used them

Note that you will see a more noticable difference in Acoustic guitars when using TUSQ.
