Humbucker Set

GUITAR PiCKUPs? need advice?

I play a little less than Metal, More than hard rock kind of music.
My ibanez needs new pickups, I really need opinions on ones i need.
Emg's or Seymour Duncans????
Blackouts???

If you're looking for good Thrash Metal Pickups then you should try the Seymour Duncan Sh-13 Dime Bucker. It has lots of crunch with enough distortion to play Metal Rythm Guitar, but if you get this pickup you shouldn't play on smaller amps like 5 Watt amps, because the distortion will sound muffly and it will just sound like you are a terrible guitar player. So if you have a nice amp, knock yourself dead with the Dimebucker. But besides the dimebucker, for metal I have always been addicted to EMG 81-85 Combo! It just plays beautifully and it literally makes your notes sound more crisp and defined, a perfect pickup for soloing.
