Would my Strat sound more like a Tele if...?

Would my Stratocaster sound more like a Telecaster if I remove the pickguard and put a piece of aluminum foil or steel plate under the bridge pickup?

Nah, the plate on a tele is way thicker haha. Get a tele eventually, you could start with a rondo and upgrade it later. Starts are just "smoother sounding", you cannot really change their nature. If you like telecasters, don't forget to check out TDPRI's great web forum
