Its all about music

"Music is either good or bad, and it's got to be learned. You got to have balance."-- Louis Armstrong

Music Instruments
Music instruments are used to generate music and is being controlled by a musician so as to get desired sound effects. The origin of music instruments is as old as music itself when traditional musical instruments were used. These instruments are categorized as aerophones (brasses and woodwind), chordophones (strings), idiophones and membranophones. Stringed instruments such as violin, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, harp, banjo, cello etc produce sound when a string is plucked. Brasses and woodwind produces sound when air enters and vibrates the instrument. Flute, saxophone, piccolo, mouth organ, bassoon are a few examples of wind instruments. Other musical instruments comprise of electronic and keyboard instruments.

Music Instrument stores
You can get any of the musical instruments through directly from the craftsman who have designed it or dealers and other super stores. You can get any type of the musical instrument you want as per the brand, price or model. These superstores also provide DJ equipment, live recording instruments and many other accessories such as guitar amps, microphone accessories, racks and strap locks etc. There are many discount musical instrument shops that provide music instruments at much discounted rates and offers.

Music Instrument Dealers
Dealers are the people who act as a middleman in between the manufacturer and customers. They could be wholesalers, retailers and sometimes even the manufacturers themselves. They sell different music instruments as well as parts and accessories associated to different music instruments. Many of them have even launched their websites and are selling their products through internet. They also offer services such as repairs, shipping of the product and free services. A dealer also helps you in understanding the features of any of the music instrument and guides you for the use of different music players.

Looking for a banjo strap that is made in USA?

My fiance is a great guitarist and I got him a banjo because he loves the sound. He is learning how to play it, and I want to get him a strap for it. I want one that is Made in the USA, Union made is even better. He is a union guy and he seeks out products that are made in the USA.

I know absolutely NOTHING about Banjos nor straps for them (I'm a pianist). So I hope some seasoned players can lead me in the right direction.

All the following are USA made. Leather strap prices range from about $45 to $165. I can't vouch for the union thing, but doubt that there are enough made by anyone to support a union. Most are small individual type creations. There might be some big manufacturer that makes a banjo strap or two, but I don't know of one. All listed are leather, will try to give some hints and add links below to more info. If he's tall, get an extra long strap. If he plays standing up for long periods, consider a harness (it's kind of like suspenders - criss-crosses in back and comes across both shoulders - if he will go for that) and do get a wider and/or padded strap, rather than a narrow and unpadded. You might see a strap you like that is narrow and unpadded - you can buy a slip on pad for them.

'Folk of the Wood' circle straps are nice. Not real fancy, but very good functionally. Very secure (threads through the banjo tension hooks), good weight distribution, and keeps neck in playing position.

'Nay' straps are finely made. The Morgan Monroe strap (in the middle of that group of 'Nay' straps - the acousticmusician.com link) is nice but don't think it's USA.

'El Dorado' might well be the Cadillac of straps - nicely hand tooled - they are high dollar, but worth it if you can afford it and that style (country/fancy) is suitable for your fiance.

I added the Elderly Instruments banjo strap page so you could get an idea of the huge variety of banjo straps available. Note that most of these are not made in USA (if they do not specifically say they are, then they are not) but wanted to show you the styles available.

I do not like the type that support the banjo with a hook on the bottom - these can come loose and the banjo can fall to the ground - not good. I am not a banjo player myself though, so there might be reason for some players to prefer those - cost is about the same.

There is a fellow in Michigan named Julius Medina who makes leather straps for Elderly but that's about all I know about him. I'm sure you'll find some other manufacturers on the Elderly site and/or google "USA made banjo straps", or such, for some more.

Premium Quality Bike Bags

Bike bags help to make any bike more useful. The very best bike bags make the best bikes look better while being more beneficial. You can not just put a bag on a bike and not recognize it, and because it affects how your bicycle looks, why not strap on a bike bag that will not make your awesome bike look much worse? Or one that makes your lousy bike look more attractive?

We want clean, tough-looking bike bags of a normal colour, not very shiny or dark. The material should be water-repellent at least and the bags need to be stitched to hold together, so you're able to still enjoy the bag while it gets older. The bike bags ought to cause you to feel relaxed.

Organic materials win without doubt. Boo on the common dark nylon, fastex-festooned and overcompartmented packs, briefcases, a suitcase set, as well as bike touring baggage you can see all over the place. A smaller boo, yet still a boo, about the bright vinyl bags that one can dunk in the water, but which never allow wet clothing to dry in them.

Right now we present a preferred variety of bike bags from providers such as Detours, Pacific Outdoor Equipment (POE), and Banjo Brothers. Detours of Seattle, Washington, have is an entire type of bike bags of all types with a focus on urban biking, specially their own distinctive line of urban panniers. Pacific Outdoor Equipment, an outdoor equipment producer in Bozeman, Mt, focuses primarily on ultra good quality water resistant bags by using welded fabrics while offering an growing line of bags for every day uses and expedition touring. Banjo Brothers of Minneapolis, Minnesota, includes a full-line of tough, well-designed and inexpensive bags for every day use. The three companies provide you with the sort of practical bike bags we hope to see more of on the highway and paths. Sometime soon, we intend on providing an increasing line of bags that meet our high standards for design and style, utility, durability and craftsmanship. We never forget that purchasing a product that can last for ages to come is a lot more economical and gratifying than purchasing one that is merely inexpensive.

There are three primary sorts of bike bags we offer to mount on your bicycle or even bicyles:

1. Panniers to attach on the sides of your rear rack, and quite often your front rack, if you have one. These types of bags provide higher quantity than other sorts of bags. A couple of standard forms of of those bags are commuting panniers, and weight carting utility or shopping panniers. Please remember 1 important matter whenever hanging a pannier to your rear rack: ensure you plenty of clearance between your feet around the pedals as well as the front of the pannier. Bikes with short wheelbases is probably not suitable for anything but the narrowest pannier(s).

2. Rack trunk or rack top bags to attach together with your rear rack. Trunk bags have a similar function as a car trunk. They're a great place for the bike pump, sweatshirt, extra tire tube, equipment, packed lunch, or whatever else you will need for a short journey or perhaps a day long tour.

3. Handlebar bags to mount towards the front of the handle bars. These kinds of handlebar bags give more space and are well suited for anything you want access to right away without the need of getting off the bicycle.
