Frankenstein My New Creation (aka Felted Soap Bar)
So you ask, what is new with handmade soap? That's easy, it is the newest craze called felted soap bars, and this is something I didnt see coming. Wool roofing is felted around a bar of handmade soap to make sort of a soap with a washcloth completely around it.
First time I saw this I was amazed, and I thought to myself now this would be a great product. So without hesitation, I ran to my test lab (AKA the kitchen) and I grabbed my wool and my handmade soap and began to create my frankenstein soap.
Now, if any of you have been to my website and read my "About Me" section at the bottom, you would know that my husband is my lab rat. He has dry sensitive skin so he made the perfect test subject for my new creation.
Without a moment to lose, I instructed my manly lab rat to hit the showers and I secretly replaced my sugar crub and my handmade soap with my frankenstien felted soap.
With the removal of temptation to use anything but the new creation, all I could do is just sit and wait.
As I hear the water come on and by now my manly lab rat has figured out that there is something new in the maze. I hear him holler, "Hey! What is this, and what am I supposed to do with this? There is fur on the soap, and where's my sugar scrub?"
Having heard that, I instructed my human tester to use the fuzzy soap just like he would normal soap, sometimes you have to give your human tester instructions, they're cute but not too bright sometimes.
After a few minutes, I hear, "Hey! This stuff is cool, it really lathers up better than just soap, and I dont need a wash cloth!"
Woo hoo, my creation has passed the first test and my manly lab rat came out with a smile. My next victims, I mean subjects, would be my teen daughters, they are easy all I have to say to them is look girls, see how pretty it is and how great it smells give it a try.
Now, this would be the true test of durability because if any of you have teenage daughters you know their showers can last up to a minimum of 45 minutes, so after an hour and a half, they reported the success of trial number two, and they agreed as well, frankenstein was cool.
The final test would be me, and that was easy since all my lab rats passed, I could just go and enjoy the moment. I was convinced after my shower that it really did lather up great and my creation of Frankenstein (AKA felted soap bar) is ready for you.

What is a good bar soap that helps with facial and body acne?
I have been getting more and more acne lately, and its time for a change. I have used bar soap in the past to help acne and for me it works really well, but it makes my face way too dry. So I am wondering if there is a bar soap out there that helps with acne and doesn't make my skin all dry.
The very best bar for acne is the Nuetrogena transparent acne bar. It comes in a little white box. The bar itself is orange and transparent. It's not like regular ivory soap so it won't dry out your skin or irritate it. I recommend washing your face with this, then GENTLY patting it dry with a CLEAN towel. DO NOT SCRUB OR RUB. that will irritate your skin. Then, use this stuff called
"Clean & Clear Acne Astringent". It's this orange liquid, only about 2 or 3 dollars at any drugstore or Wal Mart. It's very strong and helps you clean your pores and get rid f acne. It's very strong, like I said, so you should use it about twice a week, then if your skin can handle it, up the dosage level. Hope I helped. God bless

Cleansing

For this take 3 tbs coconut oil, 1 tbs olive oil, 1 tbs glycerine and 2 tsp water. Melt these ingredients. Remove from heat after these melted down and whisk it for 5 minutes. Put it in a jar once cooled. Daily before going to bed apply this. Cleanser usually do not make foam and the one that does not make foam is better than the one that makes it as the later is very harsh.
Washing
After cleansing is the time for washing. Never use hard soap bar or scented soaps as these may contain harmful chemicals. You can use the neem soap that are natural. Buy the mild neem soap not any. Check out if it has both moisturizing as well as cleansing properties. These soaps has neem oil as their base.
Moisturizing
Once you have washed you face it is the time to nourish it with rich moisturizer so that the skin retains its moisture level and gets the required elasticity. To make moisturizer at home take Cocoa butter- one tsb, Jojoba oil- one tsb and Aloe vera gel- one tsb. Mix coconut and jojoba oil and put it in double boiler and place it on low flame. On melting, add aloe vera gel into the mixture. Stir well and remove it. After cooling it put in bottle. Apply daily.
