Considerations for Crackle Finish
Before, no one wanted to have old things but times have changed since then. If you are into vintage objects, there is a trick to it. Paints that end up giving objects a weathered look are readily available. Here is a painting technique that a lot of people have been using.
This was what I myself did.
Crackle paint works wonders when it comes to this purpose. Make a shopping list for some latex satin wall paint, crackle medium, paint brush for latex paint, roller and roller cover, drop cloths, and masking tape.
Apply a base coat of latex paint to your walls, allowing the paint to dry at least overnight. If what you want is a duo of colors appearing on the walls, be sure to apply a base coat that has a satin finish. Craft stores sell crackle finish in small pint containers, and paint stores sell it in larger quart or gallon containers.
For small projects like flower pots or picture frames, you can apply the crackle all at once. Never apply the crackle finish at the same time when working on walls. You have the masking tape to protect some areas that you want to leave alone. When you paint, always have a brush or roller.
If your project involves walls, remember to cut in the edges and then roll on the paint. Leave the paint to dry thoroughly, about thirty minutes to an hour will do. Prior to the crackle drying, prepare the top coat of paint for application. Do not leave the crackle for a moment sooner after it dries. The top coat of latex satin paint can be applied over the crackle finish two ways.
When you utilize a natural sea sponge, what you will get are cracks that resemble a strand of hair but with a paint brush, you get larger cracks on your walls. In this case, use a brush if you will be working on a wall. It is not as easy of a job to apply crackle finish.
Start painting one end of the wall with a paint brush. Remember that in order to achieve the crackled look that you want, apply the crackle and then run through it with one coat of paint.
As we applied the crackle finish on our wall, we decided to go up and down and extended our strokes the farthest that we can. It was much easier to paint the walls one side at a time. It was about time for us to learn the ropes. You can succeed if you simply read the manufacturer's recommendations.

If i set my MAC Satin Finish foundation with a mattifying translucent powder, will it lose its sheen?
The satin finish foundation gives my skin a little bit of a sparkle, or something of that sort. If i use Make Up Forever HD Microfinish Powder or similar products, will it cancel out the finish that the foundation gives my skin?
If so, what would you recommend i use? Preferably a translucent powder.
