Pain In Your Upper Back And Neck Can Be Relieved Naturally--Discover The Cause Of Knots In Your Back
Do you have upper back pain? Here are five common causes you might not expect for pain, stiffness and knots in your back and neck.
There are always reasons why you have pain in your upper back and neck. Pain does not happen without a reason or cause. And, back and neck pain often share the same causes.
Most of us don't think about the cause of pain (not even most doctors.) We think it is just because we are getting old. Sometimes doctors will actually say that! We don't realize that getting rid of the cause can be the cure!
Or, maybe you had medical tests and these test results showed that there are changes in the bones in your neck or back. Maybe your doctor said those changes are the cause of your back pain or neck pain. Is this true?
Almost all of us adults have changes in our spine that would be visible on x-rays or other medical tests. But we do not all have pain. That means the changes your doctor sees may or may not be the reason for your upper back pain.
Isn't it interesting to know that your muscles are the most common cause of your upper back and neck pain?
How do your muscles cause pain? If you stretch them a bit too much, use them in one position for a little too long, or let them get shorter than they like, your muscles cause pain. They will let you know they are unhappy by causing discomfort for you.
Here are five common reasons (that are often overlooked by the medical field) that can make your muscles unhappy and painful.
1. When you sleep, it's best to keep your head and neck in as close to a neutral, natural position as possible. Sleeping with too many pillows can push your head forward or sideways. If you are a side-sleeper, a pillow that is too fat or too flat causes muscle strain, too. Try to position yourself with a small roll under your neck to maintain its natural curve.
2. Watching television or driving in a seat that tilts your back toward the seat but forces your head to move forward. This position strains your neck muscles.
3. Bifocals can cause you to lift your chin and tilt your head back when you work on a computer or project. This makes the muscles at the back of your head unhappy and they will give you a headache or stiff neck. Many eye doctors sell pcpeekers. These are little half-height glasses that drop inside your glasses frame and correct your vision for computer use. They keep you from doing "the tilt."
4. Having a weak back lets your head move too far forward and creates a rounded back. This overstretches your neck and upper back muscles (as well as causing other problems.) This makes your back muscles complain and they give you pain. This position also squeezes the muscles and nerves at the base of your skull and causes further discomfort.
5. Hunching, or leaning, to one side when you are seated will also cause upper back pain. Your muscles are getting stretched on one side, but not the other. It's best to sit on both of your "sit bones."
If you pay attention to the times of day when your upper back or neck bothers you the most, you will begin to discover the causes of your back and neck pain.
It's important to be a detective and discover why you hurt and what to do to get rid of your pain naturally.

Its the Baby Think It Over (Baby Simulator) Project?
Im in Child Development Classes and I have to take it home this weekend. Im quite nervous because even though I am amazing with babys, I am afraid I wont hear it crying in the middle of the night or something and fail it. Also how easy does the neck go back?
Keep it in the car seat right next to your bed. They're quite loud. And if you don't hear it at first, when it's just whimpering, it will get louder until you tend to it. The newer models have a neck that swivels in many directions and you must keep your hand under the head to hold it up, just like a real infant. Good luck!

Plagued by Tension in Your Shoulder and Neck Regions?
If your answer is ‘yes' to that question, then the chances are good that you are female and that you are juggling family, career and everything else that is being thrown at you. At least 95% of the women with whom I work complain of tension in their shoulder and neck regions on a daily basis. And, generally it is at its worst by the end of the day.
The cure is easy, effective and efficient; however, if you do not make it a habit, the tension will return. It requires breaking an old habit and establishing a new one.
Stress is something you will never be able to completely eliminate in your life; however, by learning how to change only one thing in your life, you will experience a tremendous difference in how you deal with that stress.
When I was raising my two small boys as a single parent in Canada, my nearest relative was 600 miles away in the States. Running a small business out of my home, I managed to put a home-cooked meal on the table every night and have my kids in bed before my small group sessions started at 8 pm. In addition, I coached my son's soccer team, read to them nightly and attended church regularly. How did I manage this without benefit of a nanny or putting my sons in daycare?
I breathed with the support of my diaphragm.
I am sure that you are questioning what breathing has to do with stress. In truth, everything. As a voice specialist, I teach people how to find their ‘real' voice by breathing in this manner and using their chest cavity to power their sound instead of just their throat and voice box. What results is a more mature-sounding voice that can be projected without shouting. [This means that I never yelled at my sons – I projected. Kids don't listen when you yell at them but they will sit up and take notice when you project your voice!]
What diaphragmatic breathing did for the rest of my life, however, was simply amazing. Never have I experienced tension in my shoulder or neck regions. When you breathe using only the upper portion of your chest, this shallow or lazy breathing does not allow for the elimination of the toxins in the blood. In fact, upper chest breathing actually increases your stress. Now when you add multi-tasking to the picture, the result is tightness and eventually soreness in your shoulders, neck and possibly in your jaw.
Learn to breathe correctly and I guarantee that you will notice a tremendous difference in your life, both professionally and personally.
