Humbucker on my guitar possibly broken?
So, today, when I plugged in my guitar, flipped the switch to the back humbucker, hardly any sound was coming out. If I turn the volume on my amp up really loud, a very quiet, crappy sounding tone comes out. My tone knob is all the way up and both of my humbucker knobs are all the way up. So, my question is, is my humbucker broken?
That's one possibility. A shorted turn in one of the coils could do that. Another possibility is a bad switch or a broken pot (volume control).
