Is it okay to play guitar bass on a normal guitar amp, or should I invest in a bass amp?
I have a normal guitar amplifier, would sound like shit if I played a bass playing on it? If not use it for a bass?
The problem with playing a bass through a guitar amplifier is just destroying the amplifier or speaker cabinet. The speakers in most guitar amps are not meant to handle the low frequencies constant put out by the bass guitars. It really will not hurt the amp at all and you could probably get away with it if you have decent speakers and played a very, very low volume. But what fun is that? lol, buy yourself a good bass amp and crank it up!
