Arm Exercises For Women That Make You Look Great
It seems that as women we can often be curse by flab wanting to settle in nearly all areas of our body. The fear with working any part of the body will be that we do in fact want each body part to be proportional and look tight and toned: Not gain muscle size. There are some excellent arm exercises for women, that will add definition without bulking them up.
Standing Dumbbell Curls: A heavy barbell is great for building size, but most toning arm exercises for women will let you work each arm individually. Do 10, or more repetitions with each arm, for 3 sets each. Weight should be kept lower than your maximum, as you might end up building a larger set of "guns" if you push the weight too high (higher reps are better for toning).
Preacher Machine Curls: A machine will give your muscles a great toning burn, without bulking your biceps up too much. Go for a full range of motion and like the dumbbell curls; do more than 10 reps, for 3 sets each.
Forearm Curls: The forearm curl gives you a variety of arm exercises for women that you can do. You can curl with the front or back of your forearms resting on a bench, and curl either with a forehand (back of hands facing down), or backhand (back of hands facing the floor). They can also be performed standing up, with your arms extended with a bar down by your hips while curling your forearms, or behind your butt with your palms facing behind you for a super-intense burn.
Cable Triceps Extensions: Make sure you find a cable attachment that's comfortable for you. Some people prefer a bar, while a rope attachment is perfect for toning and getting an optimum burn. Lock your elbows at your sides while extending your triceps and focus on how the exercise feels more than trying to go heavy.

How Can I loose Weight, but still get muscles and a great tone?
I'm 13 and I wanna get in shape, I really don't know my weight I guess I'm 115 or 120 or 150 and I'm 5'7. I wanna flatten my stomach but still get muscles there, and I wanna make my thighs smaller. Also, I wanna get muscles in arms and legs. Any work out ideas? or/and weight loss ideas?
One of the best ways of loosing weight is by building more lean muscle mass through weight training. This is because more muscle mass makes you burn more calories at rest. Develop a good cardio routine that you enjoy about three times a week. If you enjoy it you are more likely to stick with it. There are a lot of good websites and books dedicated to weight training and cardio routines. Do some research and you will find something that can help you get to your physical goals. Try to keep a positive view with your workouts as this will go a long way for having a productive workout as well as having the motivation to make it a new lifestyle. Eat a diet of fibrous vegetables, grains such as oats and barley (avoid wheat gluten) and lean protein. Eat smaller meals about six times a day as opposed a few large meals. This helps keep your metabolism burning faster. The faster your metabolism burns the more calories you will burn at rest. There is no fast fix or magic pill. It is just a lifestyle change that has to be made. Just a few facts that I have found beneficial.

What is the difference between a talented singer and an average one? Is the gap as large as it seems? This is a question I used to ask myself all the time! I began as a very very average singer, with seemingly no talent at all. My voice sounded something like a wounded animal about to pass into the afterlife!
The two things the average listener will judge a singer by are:
1. Vocal range. If you start singing out stunning high notes, people are bound to take notice!
2. Vocal tone. Which means, does the voice sound any good. Does it have a nice quality to it?
The interesting thing about singing is, there are certain muscle coordination's that can be learned, that will improve the voice at an alarming rate of knots. It's like a sprinter finding a new muscle coordination in their legs, that takes many seconds off their best time!
How Do I Sing Those Stunning High Notes?
Firstly, a great singer knows how to hit high notes with no strain.
What this really means, is they know how to pass through the difficult areas in their voices (the bridges), and hold their vocal chords together in their upper range.
When they pass through each bridge (the point in the voice where most singers 'break into falsetto'), they zip up their vocal chords. This 'zipping up' technique is what gives singers access to those amazing high notes, without straining.
And here's the encouraging thing...
With the right singing exercises, you too, can learn how to shorten or "zip up" your vocal chords, giving you access to those amazing high notes that your favorite singers use. This coordination is probably the biggest obstacle in singing, but once learned, can more than double your vocal range.
How Do I Sing With Thick, Rich Tone?
The second major factor that separates the average singer from the amazing superstar, is tone quality. When a person hears a voice and likes it, it's very possible that this singer has great tone quality!
A singer who has mastered tone quality knows two very important things. She knows how to balance her resonance, and also, how to keep her larynx (voice box) in a still position while she sings. With both these things occurring, great vocal tone is almost guaranteed.
Once again, a singer of average talent can be trained to develop great tone.
There are certain singing exercises that can allow a singer to hold the larynx in a still position, and understand how to balance the resonance. As an experiment, put your finger gently on your Adam's apple (the little notch on the surface of your throat). Now say Ahhhhhh in a really slow, dopey tone.
Feel how the larynx moves down slightly?
Doing certain singing exercises using this dopey undertone will actually help train the larynx to sit still. This small downwards offset will reduce the tendency to lift the larynx when you approach high notes.
Let's Summarize Things
The biggest difference between your singing superstar and your typical average Joe, is the vocal range, and the quality of tone they can produce. Both of these things are produced using certain muscle coordination's that can actually be learned with the right singing exercises.
This is the reason why an average singer can actually improve to the point where they could be considered a great singer. Of course, there are other things that make a singer great. Things like style, interpretation, emotion and lyrics, all contribute. But without the initial foundation, the great vocal range and tone, a singer will always be left sounding a little below par.
