What pickups should I get for my stratocaster guitar?
I am looking to get a new set of pickups for my strat. I've been interested in Fralin pickups, I have a blues special bridge pickup on my tele and love it. I've been looking at the Fralin blues special strat pickups, along with the high output strat pickups. I play country/rock music and play out of a Vox AC30. I am looking for a hot sound out of the pickups. I really like the sound Joe Walsh gets out of his strat (just as an example, not only his sound). Let me know if you have any suggestions of other pickups, or between the two that I mentioned (negative/positives of them).
Please only answer if you're knowledgeable about pickups and guitars. Thanks.
Hello there,
From what you describe, Active Pickups may be what best suits you. EMG makes some active pickups for Strats. However, I think the Seymour Duncan Blackout would probably be a better fit.

The other pickup ( suggest you consider is the Seymour Duncan Antquity Texas Hot.

Lindy Fralin makes good pickups, but so does Seymour Duncan.
