What Is The Best Foot Pain Relief?

The feet, like every aspect of the human body an amazing invention but there comes a time when we need foot pain relief. Fortunately, there are some simple steps we can implement to stop the foot pain and prevent it becoming anything more troublesome. If you have circulation problems like diabetes, then you require extra care and should seek medical advice before attempting any of these suggestions.

A simple foot pain remedy is to take a load off your feet. If you are constantly standing, try to incorporate some regular breaks and take the weight off your feet. When possible try to elevate the feet 45 degrees to the body and relax them in that position for about 15 minutes. In the elevated position blood will be moved away and it will reduce any swelling.

A great relaxing thing to do for the feet is to give them a soak. Just put about 2 tablespoons of Epsom salts into a small tub of water that is warm. Place your feet in the foot bath for approximately 15 minutes. The Epsom salts with help with sore muscles and is great at foot pain relief.

A simple trick to provide foot pain relief is the application of hot and cold temperature. Just sit on the edge of the bathtub and alternatively run cold and then hot water on the feet. Make sure both temperatures used are comfortable and run the water for about one minute before switching to the other temperature. End with cold water.

As far as pleasure goes and foot pain relief, nothing beats a foot massage. Get your partner to massage your feet with massage oil, baby oil, or moisturizing lotion. Prevent any slips by putting on socks before you stand up. You can even massage your own feet. Use oil and a medium-light pressure with your thumbs and fingers. Start at the ball of the foot and work down the foot making small circles with the thumbs. Then make long, deep strokes along the arch of the foot, from the bottom to the toes. Pay attention to the toes by gently squeezing, rotating and pulling each toe.

Ice is excellent for helping with foot pain relief. Prevent ice burn by placing a towel or cloth between your skin and the ice. Apply for ten minutes, then have a rest for ten minutes and repeat two more times. This will revitalize the feet and help with any swelling.

The feet muscles are like any other muscles in the body and are at their healthiest when they are strong and flexible. This can be accomplished with regular exercise. Using shoes that provide good support is a good start for the feet. Some other great foot exercises include: rolling the foot over a golf ball, do not stand on it, but just use the weight of your foot to determine the pressure of the golf ball to massage your foot. Use your feet like hands and try and pick up things with your toes. Scattering dried bean, marbles or tissue paper on the floor and trying to pick them up with your toes can help strengthen muscles.

What is the point of the foot-switch?

I'm semi-new to the whole guitar lingo. I've been playing guitar since i was 9 (14 now) but now I'm trying to learn everything, like the accessories for the guitar, and the only ones I know about is the guitar, the strap, the amp, and the capo, and the foot-pedal/foot-switch or whatever you call it.

But what exactly does the foot-switch do?

And is there any other things or "accessories" or whatever you'd call them that i should know about for the guitar?

Hello there,

The function depends on the amp. Some amps use a foot switch to move from one channel to the other, usually a clean channel to a drive channel. Some amps also use a foot switch to turn on/off reverb (or some other effect). Amps with mulitiple built in effects use the footswitch with several buttons to turn on/off various effects. Line 6 has a complex footswitch (FBV Shortboard) with a volume pedal, wah wah pedal, tuner, channel switching to various built in models.

The footswitch in its simpliest form allows you to change something on the amp without walking over to the amp and turning a knob or flipping a switch. You can do it from a distance hands free (with your foot). Most footswitches do not do anything that you cannot do without one. Just a more convenient way to do it. Line 6 however, is different. You cannot get to more than 4 models without the Shortboard. Other modeling amps may be similar to the Line 6.

How to Buy a Detox Foot Bath

Ask the right questions.

  • How high does the Amperage go to? (what is this? refer to Key Concepts for more info) Answer: ideally at least 3.0 Amps
  • What is the Wattage? (what is this? refer to Key Concepts for more info) Answer: ideally 150 watts
  • Can you control the amperage by the current or is it only controlled by adding salt to the ioncleanse foot bath water? (what is this? refer to Key Concepts for more info) Answer: amperage should be controlled by the user by adjusting the current not just by adding salt (cheap version of amperage control). if controlled only by salt then the user has to continuously add salt since the salt breaks down during the ionspa foot bath and there is no way to lower the amperage since you can not take the salt out of the water unless you add more water to the bath to dilute it.
  • What is the frequency/Hertz the power unit is running at? (what is this? refer to the source Key Concepts for more info) Answer: a frequency that is healthy to the body, do not want 60 Hz
  • Is the power unit running at single polarity or dual? (what is this? refer to the source listed below for Key Concepts for more info) Answer: Single, (dual is a marketing gimmick. the direction of the current can only go in 1 direction from negative to positive. You can not switch and go from positive to negative as AMD Ioncleanse states.. more info refer below to Key Concepts)
  • What protection mechanisms does the power unit offer? (what is this? refer to Key Concepts for more info)
  • Is the power unit built in to the ion spa foot bath tub or is it separate? Answer: preferably separate so you can use in any type of tub .. even a bath tub
  • Is the detox foot bath tub made of plastic or a conductive material? (what is this? refer to Key Concepts for more info) Answer: conductive material such as copper, plastic has no conductive components
  • If the water module is using a copper plate, is it 100% pure copper or does it have beryllium in it? (what is this? refer to Key Concepts for more info) Answer: 100% pure copper, beryllium is a carcinogen
  • Is the water module disposable, or do you have to replace the plates manually? how many baths do you get out of the water module? (what is this? refer to the source listed below for Key Concepts for more info)
  • Is the water module built in to the footbath tub or is it separate? Answer: separate so you can use in any type of tub .. even a bath tub
  • How is the water module cleaned and how do they disinfect it? Answer: you want to have access to the plates to remove the mineral and toxin build up.. hospital grade disinfectant is necessary.
  • Does the unit require a wristband connection to the body in order for the ion spa foot bath to run? (what is this? refer to the source listed below for Key Concepts for more info) Answer: do not want wristband. The machine is not safe and is not grounded. The wristband is to ground the person.
  • What type of salt is recommended?: high quality with trace minerals or processed salt? (what is this? refer to the source listed below for Key Concepts for more info) Answer: a higher quality salt

TIPS:

  • COPPER Tub vs. PLASTIC Tub: Get the copper tub since the copper acts as an additional conductor thereby making the treatment all that more powerful. Also you will get more life out of the water module due to the conductivity of the copper there by less current is ran from the unit to achieve the same AMPs. Copper also resonates a certain healing frequency. People wear copper on their body for healing. Plastic has no conductivity.
  • Choose a higher quality SALT .. Such as the Himalayan Crystal Salt because of its balanced crystalline structure, which can be easily metabolized by the body. Regular Table Salt is processed & has lost its natural crystalline structure. With EPSON Salt there is less heavy metal in the brine when using epson salts vs the Himalayan salts.
  • Get a unit that you can control the CURRENT and where the AMPS can at least go to 3.00 Amps. Most of the units out in the market operate only as high as 1.4 to 2.5 AMPS. A good unit is the OPTIMUM Focus detox footbath since you can control the current and the Amps go as high as 5.5. The higher the Amps then the higher the volume of electrons moving thru the water bombarding the H20 water molecules there by more ions are being produced.

Warnings:

DO NOT USE A DETOX FOOT SPA WITH A WRIST BAND!! WHY?

  • A wristband is simply used to ground the body since the unit is so cheaply made the unit itself is not grounded. This is a marketing gimmick when the say it is ‘to complete the circuitry' or ‘stimulate the upper body'.
  • The wrist bands are designed to prevent the destruction of CMOS devices. (CMOS is the deposition of doping and etching of a Metal Oxide on Saphire device, in short an Integrated Circuit). Most units on the market use TR (Transformer Rectifier) concepts in producing their output, this concept does not utilize CMOS substrate devices. We often build static as we walk and move, this is more pronounced if we are wearing anything nylon. The wrist band is conductive and conducts the static electricity from the body to ground. This prevents the charge from going through the CMOS device. If a charge goes through a CMOS integrated circuit, it can destroy it instantly, most often it damages it which causes a diminishing deterioration until the ultimate failure. During the "slow death" of the device performance becomes unreliable, unrepeatable then ultimately the device fails.
  • The ground strap is a marketing gimmick. Think about it, your computers and cell phones have large scale integration in their operating systems and you do not wear a ground strap when working with either of them. Why would you need grounding for something as simplistic as the power supplies in a footbath? The control circuitry may have some active devices that can be damages as we do, but with proper configuration this can be protected
  • The wristband has nothing to do with the detox foot bath process. The key to the ionic detox footbath is the ions from the salt & water that are interacting with your body, not the current or so called ‘circuitry' that these companies claim. You DO NOT want to USE WRISTBANDS since a good unit should have a chassis ground for all internal assemblies to stop any voltage potential ever being on the case.
