help with hooking my car amp and subwoofer to battery charger?
Every time i touch the positive from the amp to the clip on the charger it sparks so i drop it, what ami doing wrong?
this is not a good idea. a 12 volt battery charger does not output a steady amperage. the amperage pulses to help the charger determine when the battery is charged.this can cause the amplifier to overheat. for a quick test it works fine but i wouldn't run it this way permanently.
turn the charger off before trying to connect it.
