Resistant to UV & mildew is same as that of nylon webbing but the resistance towards abrasion is lesser than nylon webbings. Tensile strength can vary from 600-1000 pounds and based on the width of polypro webbing.

Polypropylene webbings can resist acid, alkalies and oil & grease far better than nylon webbings. It is also cheaper than nylon webbings and can float over water. Thus propylene webbing are preferred in tying the batteries and used at placed where there is a possibilities of having direct contact with acids.
