Upgrading cymbals....opinions? suggestions?
I've been playing for about 10 years, and am looking to upgrade my drum kit's cymbals. I currently play Sabian's ProSonix (14" hi Hats, 16" crash, 18" crash, 20" ride, and a 8" splash) I also have an old (OLD) HHX 16" crash that I use as a stand it, or extra. I play a std, five-piece Tama kit.
The type of music I play is mostly Alt-pop-rock (think 3 doors down + Goo Goo Dolls + the Ataris).
All of my cymbals are in great shape, but am looking to just upgrade. I was thinking maybe Sabian's AAX series or AA series, or Zildjian's A-custom series. Any others I should be considering? I would like to stay under $800 for at least hi hats, 1 or two crashes and a ride...any suggestions, or input is appreciated
sabian AAX for sure thats what i play and they are amazing!!!i would also reccomend paiste paint they have a very crisp sound..(i have craked 2 18" AAX crash symbals) so i have a paint and i love it but they are a little more expencive then the aax. i am not a fan at all of the AA series, my best advice go to guitar center and rock out!!! youll find a sound you like
